Wind Mitigation Inspection
A wind mitigation inspection determines the rating and integrity of your home to stand up to hurricane force winds. There are mandated discounts on the windstorm portion of your policy that relate to each item on the four page verification form. This inspection is critical to obtain the best premium available and many times is mandatory to obtain a windstorm policy.
Contractor Four-Point Inspection
A four-point inspection is usually asked for by the underwriter when a home reaches 40 years of age. Some underwriters are asking for this inspection when a home reaches 30 years of age. The four-point insurance inspection provides a level of comfort for the underwriters as to insurability and covers four areas of conditions:
